Eba Jewellery Workshops FAQs
Can I come alone to your preset workshops?
Yes! At almost every one of my workshops, there has been at least one person that hasn’t come with anyone else. Once people get stuck into it, they end up not talking to their friends anyway haha - too concentrated!! If there is multiple people that come alone, I tend to sit you together too in case you would like to make a new friend or I am happy to sit and yap with you too :-)
Will you travel for private workshops?
Yes absolutely. My limit is probably around a 2 hour drive from Baildon, Bradford maximum depending on numbers or occasion. Please fill out my enquiry form with as much information as you have (numbers, full postcode, dates) and I can let you know.
Is there a minimum number of people for a private workshop?
It depends (Sorry, long-annoying answer!). If you are within 10 miles local to me in Baildon, Bradford (BD17), probably not! I’m happy to travel for 4/5 people! If you are further away (Manchester, Sheffield, Derby etc), minimum numbers of between 10-15 and travel fees will apply. I assess every situation individually based on workshops I have already committed to around it (if I’m already driving many hours that week, I don’t want to overdo it!) or if I love the city and just want a good excuse to visit (looking at you Lake District!). If you are unsure, please do fill out my contact form and ask anyway!
What is your travel fee?
Anything more than 10 miles from Baildon incurs a travel fee. The charge is the industry standard of 45p per mile from BD17.
Can children join in?
I am happy to run a private event or birthday party for children 11+. The workshops are not particularly difficult however the pliers are real tools and if used incorrectly, could cause injury. Additionally, the jump rings and charms could be choking hazards to younger children.
At my preset workshops, yes to some of them. Some of the workshops would not be appropriate to children or teenagers as alcohol is being served and other guests may be drunk or swear-y haha! If you’re unsure, simply contact me or the venue and I can advise you.
Can I make a second piece?
Yes! If you finish making early and you want to make an extra necklace or bracelet during the remaining time, it is only £10 extra. You can pay by cash or by phone or bank card on the day. It’s a great option if you have leftover charms that didn’t make it onto your first piece but you can’t bare to leave without! Or as a great gift!
What size bracelet / necklace lengths do you have?
As standard, I have necklaces around 40cm-50cm and bracelets 15cm-20cm At every workshop, I bring extra lengths of chain that can be easily added to any of my bracelets or necklaces so they will fit anyone comfortably. These are (of course) free of charge.
Are your workshops accessible?
I run my workshops from coffee shops, cafes and craft houses so I cannot guarantee that every one of my workshops will be wheelchair accessible. I have ensured that in my local area of Baildon, I have a completely accessible venue that I can rely on for workshops. This is Four Corners Coffee, Baildon. If you need an accessible venue and you are not sure if the workshop that you want to come to is, please message me and I will let you know. I will do everything I can to include everyone in my workshops because we all deserve funky and affordable jewellery!
My workshops require detailed fine motor skills and a good level of eyesight however, I am more than happy for you to come along, choose your charms and I will attach them onto the chain for you. Please don’t be put off if you couldn’t do it alone. I love being useful and the most fun part is choosing the charms anyway, haha!
