Jewellery Kit Instructions
Step 1: Lay out everything in your kit, decant the jump rings into your prettiest ramekins to keep them safe and lay out your charms so you can see them all.
Step 2: Explore your charms and start mapping out their positions. Top tip: bigger charms look best in the middle and your charms should get smaller as you go upwards. Odd numbers of charms make a piece look finished.
Step 3: Find your thumb ring tool and place it on your thumb (if it fits). If not, you can simply hold it.
Step 4: Start by picking up your central charm and looping it on a jump ring. Then loop the jump ring directly through one of the links of your chosen chain.
To close the jump ring, hold it as shown in the diagram with the opening upwards at 12 o’clock and placing it into one of the grooves of the thumb ring. Holding your pliers in your dominant hand, use the thumb ring as an anchor to push against to bring the two sides closed together. Note: Do not ‘smush’ or flatten the jump ring to close it. This can damage its integrity and it may break off later on.
Step 5: Continue this process with as many charms as you choose to add on.
Step 6: Shake your piece a little to ensure that all of the loops are secure and nothing is going to fall off!
Step 6: Try on your piece, check you’re happy with where the charms are falling on you and that they are all facing thr right way. Then, show off your hard work and wear it with pride!
